While some may say that punk is dead, the Spitfire Saloon is trying its best to keep it strong and alive. This dark and dingy place is a hot spot for the local punk rock crowd and plays music exclusively geared toward their tastes, with punk and punk-inspired anthems from the last 30 years. Every Friday and Saturday, the Spitfire's stage offers a unique musical outfit. A big fence blocks the stage off, adding to the decrepit and hardcore attitude of the whole bar.
The Spitfire offers more than 80 types of beer, from cheap and skunky punk beer to elegant bottles of craft brews. And what would a punk bar be without a great intuitive way to break all those bottles? On the side wall is a one-of-a-kind bottle launcher that guests can crank up and shoot a bottle through a tube, smashing it into pieces on the other end. Also, music trivia is every Wednesday night, where the winner get $25.
