The Division of Solid and Infectious Waste Management, also known as DSIWM, issue permits to regulate landfills, waste incinerators, and transfer, composting and scrap tire facilities. The division is responsible for ensuring the handling of solid waste materials. It oversees state and local planning regulations for long-term solid waste management. The Division of Solid and Infectious Waste Management also permits construction and demolition disposal and infectious waste disposal sites. It offers ground water monitoring services. The division provides administration, information technology, and financial and ground water assistance solutions. The Division of Solid and Infectious Waste Management is a part of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency.
