Sherwood Middle School serves students in grades six through eight. The school offers classes in mathematics, English, language arts and social studies. It also organizes sessions in French, technology, art, physical education, and vocal and instrumental music. Sherwood Middle School provides assistance with the development of emotional, social and intellectual skills. The school offers special education services for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities. It provides a range of extracurricular activities, such as music ensembles, band concerts and computer exhibits. In addition, Sherwood Middle School offers career development, youth-to-youth counseling and after-school tutoring programs. The school has partnerships with various local companies to assist with teacher resources and scholarships for students. It is governed by Columbus City Schools.
