Ohio Education Association represents more than 131,000 teachers, faculty members and support professionals in Ohio s public schools, colleges and universities. Since 1847, the OEA has been working to make schools better and improve public education. As education professionals, the association works to improve the system of student standards that incorporates realistic expectations for student learning; curricula aligned with those standards; the resources needed to implement the curricula; and valid, reliable, age-appropriate assessment instruments that will fairly measure students' attainment of the standards.
