The Parkland Apartments was built in 1946 shortly after World War II by Bud Rand who lived there for over 60 years. This was one of Shaker Heights' first commercial residential buildings built between Van Aken and Parkland Drive. In the late 40s, each unit had many bedrooms and baths along with hardwood floors made of old barns and ships. Today this apartment community is made up of 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms with 1 or 2 baths. The rent ranges from $810 to $1850 a month with 820 to 1920 total square feet per unit.
This is a luxurious building comprised of Shaker Heights most premiere suites. Parkland is near retail, grocery store, fine dining and easy to access downtown Cleveland. The landscaping is beautiful with a friendly atmosphere.
