Established in 1978, the Ohio Youth Advocate Program is a private, nonprofit child caring agency that provides a variety of services throughout the state. It offers various community-based, advocacy, mental health, emergency shelter, therapeutic, and respite and foster care programs throughout the United States. The Ohio Youth Advocate Program administers a care management program that includes protective services for youths and families affected by substance abuse, neglect and delinquency. In addition, it supports the Constant and Never Ending Improvement (CANEI) program, which features spiritual, literacy and communication services for adolescents with aggressive defiant behavior. The agency is licensed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS). It is affiliated with National Youth Advocate Program, which provides home-based family, adoption, and shelter and fragile care services. The Ohio Youth Advocate Program maintains a location in Columbus, Ohio.
