MCPAL is a youth crime prevention program in Medina County, Ohio that aims to build trust and understanding between police officers and local youth through educational, athletic, and recreational activities. By offering county-wide programming since 2010, MCPAL helps children see police officers in a new light, fostering positive relationships and teaching them to become productive citizens and ambassadors of the community.
With the participation of over 500 kids from 13 schools and the collaboration of six law enforcement agencies, including Montville PD, Brunswick PD, and Medina County Sheriff, MCPAL creates a safe and inclusive environment where children learn the importance of good manners, teamwork, and honesty. By promoting trust and staying active, MCPAL is proud to make a difference in the community and establish police officers as trusted adults.
