Splash for Cash – Doggy Dock Diving at KennelResorts
Dogs will splash for cash and dive for dough to kick-off the Cincinnati summer. The diving dock at KennelResorts in Milford will be the epicenter of excitement for this canine extravaganza. Your water dog can compete for cash prizes in three categories: longest dive, fastest water retrieval, and funniest dive.
The Splash for Cash – Doggy Dock Diving will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. as the main event of the 2014 Beagle Bay WaterBark season opening Saturday June 7th, from 12 to 5 pm. The 7 acre property is located at 5725 Meadowview Drive in Milford, 1 mile off I-275.
The winner of each category will receive $150 in cash. Non-cash prizes will be given for second and third place. Diving dog teams, include up to two handlers, and must register by Wednesday, June 4. While the Beagle Bay season opening is FREE, there is a $10 registration to enter Splash for Cash – Doggy Dock Diving. The fee includes two Splash for Cash – Doggy Dock Diving t-shirts, entry into 1, 2 or all 3 categories, and complementary food & drinks.
"We hope to start a Dock Diving Club here in Cincinnati", said Jim Pottebaum, owner of KennelResorts. "Our private dog park and pond, Beagle Bay, has a permanent diving dock which is perfect for all water loving canines." Anyone interested in participating in ongoing dock diving events at KennelResorts will be connected to other interested parties after the June event.
