Dr. Karl C. Golnik earned his undergraduate degree from Amherst College. He went on to receive his medical degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, then his Masters degree in Education from the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Golnic completed his Ophthalmology Residency at University of Virginia and neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at the Wilmer Institute at Johns Hopkins. In 1994, he joined Cincinnati Eye Institute where he served as director of the residency program from 1998-2014. Dr. Golnik went on to teach at the University of Cincinnati, where he was both Professor and Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology.
