Healing Through the Sound of Music, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) music and theatrical production company founded in 2001 by acclaimed vocalist Mzuri Moyo Aimbaye. With a mission to spiritually inspire and raise awareness of the contributions of women of color in the US and abroad, the company creates quality live music performances and song-inspired theatrical productions centered around social justice and historical narratives.
At the heart of Healing Through the Sound of Music, Inc. is the multi-award-winning one-woman biopic play, "The Fannie Lou Hamer Story," written and performed by Mzuri Moyo Aimbaye. Currently touring nationwide, this production aims to encourage increased voting participation and serves as a prelude to the 2020 Presidential Elections.
