The Greene County Children Services Board provides family assessment and support and temporary and permanent placement services for children. It offers foster care, adoption, group home and independent living programs. The board serves physically, emotionally and sexually abused and neglected children. The Greene County Children Services Board provides alternative response, transportation, child supervision and life skills training services. It also offers a variety of social services, including psychological testing, housing assistance, health care, and family and individual counseling. The board additionally provides services in the areas of domestic violence and drug and alcohol abuse. Established in 1910, the Greene County Children Services Board operates the Western Ohio Regional Training Center, which is responsible for the budgeting, scheduling, registration and administration of child welfare-related training in more than 10 counties in Ohio.
