Gold Medal Products began in 1930, when David Evans bought a small ink company. He quickly expanded the company, which now specializes in the manufacture of a variety of concession food equipment and supplies, including popcorn poppers, cotton candy machines, snow cone machines, shaved ice machines and hotdog machines. Its other products are used to make nachos, pizzas, pretzels, fried foods, caramel apples, kettle corn and frozen beverages and desserts. Gold Medal Products has headquarters in Cincinnati and additional offices in Chicago; Columbus, Ohio; Greensboro, N.C.; Indianapolis; Nashville, Tenn.; New Orleans; Pittsburgh; and Orlando, Fla. Its equipment and supplies are sold via a worldwide network of professional concession equipment and supply distributors.
