Elementz is Cincinnati's premier Hip Hop Cultural Art Center, founded in 2002 as a response to social unrest in Over-the-Rhine. Their mission is to empower young people in the urban core, disrupt the status quo, and encourage positive change through civic engagement. Elementz embraces and leverages the richness of Hip Hop Culture to preserve, protect, and advance it as an art form and global creative force, while providing academic and social-emotional support to prepare young people for the creative workforce.
With a focus on exposing youth to the creative economy, Elementz serves a growing number of students through their programs and partnerships with schools. Their team of creative and visionary individuals, including the Executive Director, Director of Operations, Program Manager, Program Coordinator, and Content Coordinator, work together to ensure that Hip Hop Culture is valued as authentic, rich, complex, and evolutionary. Through collaborations and initiatives, Elementz aims to empower artists and stakeholders to exercise their power and prevent exploitation, making a lasting impact on the community.
