Eleanor B. Garfield Park was dedicated in 1980 to honor Garfield, a former mayor of Mentor. It stretches across 65 acres, including a pond and hiking trail. Visitors can play on the basketball and tennis courts, soccer field and baseball diamond. During the summer months, people can also swim in the community pool, complete with a pair of water slides. The park also has a pavilion, which can be rented, and concessions and restroom in he community recreation center.
