Since 1978, Community Services for the Deaf has been providing a wide range of programs and services, as well s support and counseling to people who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. Located in Dayton, Ohio, some of the programs include vocational service outreach project, sign language interpreting, c-print, sign language classes, sign language class in-services, counseling and case management, prevention services, information/advocacy/referral and education about deaf culture. The organizations curriculum-based prevention programs serve the youth in developing drug-free lifestyles and the programs are available to schools, camps and other community partners. One of Community Services' programs, c-print, is a computer-aided, speech-to-print captioning service used when working with individuals who are not comfortable using ASL interpreting or other interpreting methods.
