Franklin Alternative Middle School is a learning facility that provides a range of educational services for students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes science, math, social studies, computer education and art. The school also offers special education programs for gifted and talented students. Franklin Alternative Middle School maintains a parent-teacher association and provides membership opportunities in the National Junior Honor Society. In addition, it maintains a chess club and offers food solutions. The school conducts basketball and volleyball tournaments and vocal concerts. Franklin Alternative Middle School also organizes classes in French and Spanish. It is owned and operated by Columbus City Schools.
