Columbus Alternative High School is a college preparatory school that meets the guidelines set by the No Child Left Behind Act. It is a public magnet high school that offers advanced placement courses in literature and language composition, calculus AB and BC, chemistry, French, German, European and American history, Spanish, physics, art, Latin and biology. It offers International Baccalaureate classes and is approved by the Department of Education. The students in grades 10 through 12 participate in more than 350 community sites where they work as participants in the co-curricular internship program. Its extracurricular activities include student senate, key club, youth to youth, National Honor Society, foreign language clubs, yearbook and newspaper staff, orchestra, choir, and drama productions. It has earned the Siemens Award for advanced placement scores, and is located in Columbus, Ohio.
