Established in 1913, the Cleveland Museum of Art showcases more than 40,000 ancient, contemporary and modern pieces of art from Egypt, Greece and Rome. Its painting collection includes masterpieces by various artists, such as Caravaggio, El Greco, Poussin, Rubens, Hals, Goya, Dali, Matisse, Renoir, Gauguin, Cole, Corot, Eakins, Monet, van Gogh, Picasso and Bellows. The Cleveland Museum of Art has an art research library that stocks more than 400,000 volumes and is one of the largest art libraries in the United States. Its facilities are spread in an area of over 400,000 square feet and feature nearly 70 galleries. With a staff of approximately 335 individuals, the museum organizes various parades, community art festivals, tours and exhibitions. The Cleveland Museum of Art is located in Cleveland.
