Clermont County Municipal Court provides services for resolving and recording legal matters. It administers individual justice to identify and remove barriers to access. The court protects individual rights and liberties and protects the confidentiality of court participants as required by laws. Clermont County Municipal Court has jurisdiction over traffic and nontraffic misdemeanors and has the authority to conduct preliminary hearings in felony cases. The municipal court also has a civil jurisdiction division that handles cases in which the amount of money in dispute does not exceed $15,000. Located in Batavia, Ohio, Clermont County Municipal Court has a criminal division that is responsible for criminal cases where the possible penalty is limited to no more than 12 months incarceration or a maximum fine of $1,000.
