In existence for more than 70 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio is a nonprofit prevention-based agency. Big Brothers serves more than 3,000 children and youth in central Ohio through its mentoring and camping programs. The organization offers an array of programs, such as community, site-based and camping programs. Its partners include Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters, Tri-Village Mentor League, Big Walnut, Columbus Public, Delaware City, Fairbanks, Grandview Heights and Marysville City Schools. Big Brothers also owns and operates a residential camp, Camp Oty'Okwa, located on more than 100-acres in southern Ohio. Camp Oty'Okwa provides several summer camping sessions and activities, including hiking, camping, swimming, rope courses, environmental education, rock climbing, nature exploration, campsite cooking, canoeing, fishing, and evening group activities. Additionally, it offers various rental plans for school, community and business groups. Big Brothers has branches in Columbus, Delaware, Marysville and South Bloomingville, Ohio.
