Butler Rural Electric Cooperative, formed in 1936, provides electricity and other value added services to more than 10,000 members in parts of Butler, Preble, Hamilton, and Montgomery counties. It offers a wide variety of programs and services, from Internet service to loans, from electrician services to rebates and incentives. The members and employees of the Butler Rural Community Connection program donate to a fund that awards grants to community organizations, schools, 4-H groups and fire and rescue squads. The cooperative is headquartered in Oxford, Ohio.
