Lake Shore United Methodist Church's mission is "We share God's love with everyone and teach them to do the same." The church sits on 7.28 acres and abuts the Russ Lynch Memorial Bicentennial Park. The church supports two missions and emphasizes mission work. Outreach is an important part of the congregation and it maintains a hospitality network. The location is also used to host meetings for different organizations including Weight Watchers, AA, Al-Anon, Brownies, Financial Peace University and parenting classes. The congregation is led by the Rev. Nancy Manner.
