We’ve owned Al Smith's Place since 2004. Prior to Al Smith’s Place, we as a core have worked in corporate for 10 years, owned a small carryout for three years in Perrysburg and a local restaurant in Toledo for another four years. The two ventures were sold and it was a stepping stone allowing us to acquire Al Smith's Place. We are a scratch-made, "old school" comfort food Diner ranging from bold chili mac, hand pattied burgers, made-to-order chicken chunks, fresh meatloaf, scratch-made sausage gravy and hand-cut home fries. “Fresh homestyle cooking without the frills” is our motto. Our pie case is in the middle of the dining room ranges from fruit pies, cream pies and smooth, creamy cheesecake. We serve breakfast all day and are opened for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
