Tupper Lake Map
Tupper Lake is a village in Franklin County, New York. The population was 3,935 at the 2000 census. The village takes its name from a nearby lake, which, in turn, is the name of a surveyor (Ansel Norton Tupper) who drowned there while fishing.
The Village of Tupper Lake is in the Town of Tupper Lake. The town and the village are in the southwest part of the county.
Tupper Lake is home to the Natural History Museum of the Adirondacks, which is nicknamed and marketed as "The Wild Center".
