Huntington Station is a hamlet (and census-designated place) in Suffolk County, New York, United States. The population was 29,910 at the 2000 census.
Huntington Station is a community in the Town of Huntington. It was named for its railroad station, and was originally known as "Fairground."
Huntington Station was also the birthplace of poet Walt Whitman. His home remains there as a museum. Across from the museum on Rt 110 is the Walt Whitman Mall.
