History
Three Oaks is a mostly original, 1915 home that was going to be remodeled and drastically modernized. We stepped in & bought the house with all it's beautiful oak woodwork and open stairway and huge riverside lot. The house is named for the clump of three large Bur Oak trees outside the dining & living room windows. We already had our home next door & didn't want to move & sell that 1905 house, so we did the next best thing....opened Three Oaks for others to enjoy. The only changes we've made were a few electrical updates required by the state before we could get our license, and adding a dishwasher and modern fridge to the kitchen. We've also redone the floor in one bedroom and the front porch and have lots more work to do on the other floors.
