History
The Northport Library branch of the Fargo Public Library opened July 13, 2006, but the Fargo Public Library has served the community since the first library opened on January 26, 1903 with a $20,000 donation from Andrew Carnegie.
Specialties
The Fargo Public Library, with three locations in Fargo, North Dakota, provides educational and entertainment materials for people of all ages. The Fargo Public Library has a collection of more than 165,000 books, 10,000 DVDs and many other physical and electronic resources. All three locations provide public access computers and wireless internet access for laptops. The library also has children's, teen, and adult programming including story times, and computer classes.
