Weldon is a town in Halifax County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 1,374 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina Micropolitan Statistical Area.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.8 square miles (4.6 km²), all of it land. Located on the Roanoake River, Weldon is known as the "Rockfish Capital of the World" due to abundant fishing during the May spawning season.
