A museum, located in a ninety year old train depot, that focuses on the generational lore that Nancy Hanks lived in Rutherford County, was bound out to a wealthy family and later birthed a baby boy she named Abraham. That Abraham, we believe, is the 16th President of the United States. Your visit includes a video and story boards that outline the facts as we know them. A selection of books that include our story are available for purchase. The museum entrance is free, but donations are most welcome. A visit to the birth site, Lincoln Hill, is only available by appointment with a volunteer guide as the site is on private property. The museum is in downtown Bostic and is open Thursdays 1p-4p, Fridays and Saturdays 10a-1p. Check our Facebook page (The Bostic Lincoln Center) for current announcements, Lincoln Trivia and photos.
