History
Originally a movie theater opened in 1941, the Reeves has been the cornerstone of historic downtown Elkin, NC for decades. In the early 1990s, it closed and fell into disrepair, but the town of Elkin would not give up on the Reeves. Various groups helped raise money and make structural repairs before it was eventually purchased by the current owners and renovated into the live music venue and cafe it is today.
