The NC Justice Center is one of the leading private, nonprofit antipoverty organizations in North Carolina. Founded in 1996, the center identifies strategies for improvement and publishes findings in reports and newsletters. It provides legal assistance to low-income individuals related to consumer rights, public education, housing policy and worker rights. The NC Justice Center also publishes a newsletter that offers information on critical education policy issues throughout North Carolina. The center conducts community education events, forums and workshops. It initiates and participates in economic justice campaigns. The center s unit, NC Community Advocates for Revitalizing Education, promotes education policy reforms. It maintains several special projects, including the NC Budget and Tax Center, the NC Health Access Coalition and NC Living Income Initiative. The NC Justice Center is located in Raleigh, N.C.
