The first time I tried acrylic pour painting, I was hooked. It was so exciting to watch the paints blend into unusual shapes and colors. The more I did it, the more excited I got about trying different pour painting techniques and using a variety of tools. I quickly learned there are three components to flow painting: mixology, skill, and luck. With many hours of experience "under my belt," I still can't wait to see each new piece develop. Pouring painting, also known as flow painting or fluid art is a fun, creative way to create abstract art. Instead of working with typical painting tools, the colors are poured on the canvas and manipulated using various techniques. The result is unpredictable and gives each piece of art its own unique character. Depending on which technique is used, a completely different work of art is created.
