Camp Lejeune Dependents Schools operates several elementary, middle and high schools that provide academic education to students in kindergarten through grade 12. The district is operated by the Department of Defense Education Activity. Camp Lejeune Dependents Schools has a partnership with the Military Child Education Coalition, which is a nonprofit organization with a focus on comprehensive research that addresses the transition and other educational challenges faced by military children. In addition, each school within the district has a library and media center that provides curriculum-related materials and a variety of free reading options for students.
