Founded in 2002, Nash Central High School provides learning opportunities to more than 1,250 students in grades 9 through 12. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, science, English, history, foreign languages and physical education. The school s campus includes a gymnasium, football stadium and cafeteria with a seating capacity of up to 300 people. It offers Project Heart, youth apprenticeship, dual-enrollment, credit recovery and educational talent search programs. The school provides opportunities to participate in a variety of student organizations, such as a student government association, the National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. It also offers several student clubs, including photography, art, environmental, guitar, and college and career clubs. The school is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Nash Central High School is located in Rocky Mount, N.C., and is a part of Nash-Rocky Mount Public Schools.
