In the field of business brokerage the International Business Brokerage Association ( i.e., the IBBA ) has conferred the Certified Business Intermediary, "CBI", designation to Mr. Whitener. Mr. Whitener has made professional presentations for "Buying and Selling a Business" and "Overview to Business Valuations" to the North Carolina Society of Accountants and has published a "Guide to Business Valuation". He is a charter member of the Carolinas-Virginia Business Brokers Association, International Business Brokers Association and is affiliated with the largest Business Broker Network in the United States. As of 2006, Mr. Whitener became licensed as a real estate broker, specializing in commercial and industrial properties.
