The Pickens County Sheriff's Office preserves peace and enforces local, state and federal laws. Its records section is responsible for the management and control of incident reports, arrest warrants and civil process documents. The office s criminal investigative division interviews suspects, victims and witnesses; analyzes information for validity, reliability and accuracy; and compiles a comprehensive and factual case file to be presented in court. The Pickens County Sheriff's Office uniform patrol division responds to service calls. Located in Pickens, S.C., the office also maintains a detention center that provides humane treatment to all persons detained.
