Its parent company, Lowe s Companies Incorporated, was established in 1946 and maintains headquarters in Mooresville, N.C. Robert A. Niblock has been the chief executive officer of Lowe s Companies for more than a year. He has been with the retail company for over 13 years. Niblock earned a BS degree from the University of North Caroline-Charlotte. Lowe s is one of the largest retail home improvement companies in the world and has annual sales of more than $35 billion. In 2004, FORTUNE magazine named Lowe's America's Most Admired Specialty Retailer for a second consecutive year.
