I chose medicine as a career because I enjoy helping others and trying to make a positive difference. I am a lifelong resident of the Piedmont Triad and started my medical career at age 16, as an orderly working second-shift after classes at Forbush High School. \n In 1986, I started working as a scrub tech in the operating room at Medical Park Hospital during college. I graduated from Wake Forest University, Bowman Gray School of Medicine, and completed my residency in urology at Bowman Gray/Wake Forest/N.C. Baptist Hospital. \n I practiced in High Point for 21 years before joining Novant Health, first working in Salisbury and now full-time in Kernersville. I've always enjoyed my medical career at each level. My passion is creating access to medical care and helping patients in their times of need. \n I married my high school sweetheart, and we have five wonderful children. When I'm not working, I enjoy reading, golfing, fishing and spending time in the North Carolina mountains.
