Keep Belmont Beautiful is an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful and has been certified since 2001. They work in partnership with the city of Belmont, North Carolina to educate and involve the community in litter and waste reduction, recycling, beautification, and natural resource conservation.
Through the efforts of volunteers and local citizens, Keep Belmont Beautiful has implemented a city-wide litter prevention and recycling encouragement program. They also award grants to local schools for outdoor campus improvements and beautification, and act as a sponsor for various local civic projects.
