Jordan Lake State Recreation Area is operated by the North Carolina Division of Parks and Recreation, which also operates various other areas that include Vista Point, Robeson Creek, New Hope Overlook and White Oak Recreation Area. Located in Apex, N.C., Jordan Lake State Recreation Area offers fishing, boating, hiking, swimming and picnicking activities. The area includes several parks and serves as a venue for organizing camps and events for individuals. The rangers in this area conduct educational and interpretive programs. Jordan Lake State Recreation Area organizes a festival that celebrates the uniqueness of cultural and natural resources of the region. It offers a range of recreational facilities, including an exhibition hall, picnic shelters, beaches, campsites and courtesy docks for people with disabilities.
