History
After graduating from UNC School of Dentistry in 1985, I practiced as an associate in a large practice until 1986 and opted to start a practice focused on providing conservative, preventive care in a low stress way. I don't like stressful decisions and like to make my patients aware of options and help them choose wisely for themselves. We were on Highway 54 near 54/55 until 2005, when we built a building on a serene property on South Alston Avenue. We have tried to create a comfortable place to visit and work. We have a very high tech office, including the first 3M digital impression system in the Triangle, for precise fitting crowns when they are necessary. Our hallmark has been trustworthy, conservative care in a fun environment. We have been blessed with a wonderful staff and little turnover. We added digital x-ray in 2012 and continue to stay on top of worthy technology, but keep good relationships with our patients. For most, it's like visiting with family when they come for care
Specialties
Earning the trust of our patients and enjoying our days. Most people are looking for a dentist they can trust, want cleanliness and comfort and want to spend as little as possible on their dental care. My long time staff and I are focused on what is best for you. If everything looks ok, we are delighted to tell you so. While some people want an extreme makeover, most people just want to be sure they are healthy and avoid surprises. We were trained to do a good exam and present your options, or just make preventive recommendations to help you stay healthy. While we will inform you of the most ideal treatment options, we want to consider the most conservative 'this will get you healthy' option as well. We know there is a recession and like to treat you like we'd want to be treated. In terms of comfort, all our chairs have tempurpedic pads, we have Bose noise canceling headphones and iPods, bird feeders to watch, sunglasses, free wi-fi and a fireplace. We are happy to help.
