History
In August 1965, George W. Holden, Jr. founded the Firm in Henderson, North Carolina. In 1978, he opened an additional office in Oxford. In 1980, he and Steve Moss became shareholders in a newly formed professional corporation, Holden, Moss & Company, P.A. Within the next five years, the Firm acquired an office in Eden, and added shareholders, Crawford Knott, Malcolm Clark, and Robert Taylor to the fold. In 1988, the Firm added its sixth shareholder, Donna Taylor. In 1991, acquired a practice in Warrenton, North Carolina, and in 1994 Kermit Copley became a shareholder. In 1996, we acquired a practice in Henderson, North Carolina. In 1998, we acquired a practice in Raleigh, North Carolina previously owned by C. Martin Nassif. 1999 saw the addition of William Hoyle as a shareholder and we opened an office in Wake Forest, North Carolina. In July 2009, the Firm name changed to Holden Moss Knott Clark & Copley, P.A.
