History
George and Helen Koutsoupias migrated to the United States in 1972 with a dream of someday owning a successful restaurant business. George's goal was, and still remains, to make people happy with delicious home-style meals. George quickly set up shop in Charlotte, North Carolina and featured his own recipes in the early 1980's at the Alamo Plaza Restaurant. The restaurant was renamed Georgio's in 1984. As a successful restaurateur in Charlotte, George decided to branch out into Gaston County opening his trademark diner in Cramerton, N.C on April 2, 1997. Georgio's Restaurant is a culinary destination for those looking for amazing service and terrific food, not to mention the down home atmosphere you immediately recognize when you walk in the door. Ask anyone from Cramerton and they'll tell you, Georgio's is the place to be for breakfast - lunch - dinner.
