I chose to become a Registered Dietitian (RD) because I am fascinated by the way food choices that we make every day can affect our health and happiness, and I wanted to apply my learning and interest in the subject to promote better health. I view "food as medicine, and because of this, I strive to meet my patients where they are and motivate them to make sustainable, positive diet and lifestyle changes. My areas of special interest include health promotion for all ages, prediabetes and diabetes. Outside of work, I like being outside, playing golf, biking, dancing, hiking and gardening-I am a Wake County Master Gardener. I also enjoy practicing yoga, reading, sewing, cooking, and relaxing with friends and family.
