Cleveland County Library System comprises two libraries located in Shelby and Lawndale, N.C., and offers books, audio and videocassettes, compact discs, DVDs, and slide, overhead and multimedia projectors for rent. It also offers materials and equipment for the blind and physically disabled, and foreign language materials available through inter-library loans. Cleveland County Library System also provides outreach vans that travel the entire county, and meeting spaces at the main library, including a meeting room that seats up to 100 persons, and a 15-seat conference rooms. It also offers IBM-compatible, Microsoft-based computers with Internet access, accelerated reader collections, and a study room. Cleveland County Library System also provides a genealogy and local history collection, and various programs for preschool and school-aged children.
