Internal medicine practitioners
Jubayer Ahmed, MD
Being a pediatrician allows me to advocate for my young patients and provide guidance to their parents. I am grateful and privileged to be in a position to care for people's health. I come from an immigrant background, and my parents instilled in me the importance of perseverance and a desire to help others. \n As the first person in my family to go to college, I feel it is essential that I make the most of the position I'm in. I hope to inspire a new generation to purse healthcare as a career and help infants, children and adolescents achieve their best health. I will always put the patient first. \n I'm proud to have received the Pediatric Residency Advocacy Award from Wake Forest Pediatrics Residency Program in June 2021. \n I love research and have focused my own on how nutrition and physical activity impact health. I've investigated tools that can further promote healthy nutrition in children. /n Outside medicine, I love spending time with my family. I enjoy traveling to new places with my wife, exploring restaurants, and, as the eldest of four siblings, I cherish moments I get to spend with my younger siblings and parents. \n I am an avid Tar Heel, Panthers and Hornets fan and love to attend any games I'm able to. I love all types of music but especially enjoy the newest Bollywood songs.
