The Sullenberger Aviation Museum, formerly known as the Carolinas Aviation Museum, is a Smithsonian Affiliate located in Charlotte, NC. Supported by the Infusion Fund and generous donors, the museum is dedicated to understanding the impact of aviation on our lives, culture, and society. With a new mission to inspire and educate present and future generations of aerospace and STEM innovators, the museum aims to elevate diversity in STEM and aerospace to catalyze economic mobility.
As a hub for aviation and STEM innovation, the Sullenberger Aviation Museum is partnering with the City of Charlotte, Charlotte Douglas International Airport, and renowned architectural and design firms to develop plans for a state-of-the-art new location in Charlotte, set to open in summer 2024.
