The department s forensic division, also known as crime lab, provides examination of a variety of evidentiary materials, such as blood, tissue, drugs, footwear impressions, fibers, hairs, glass and chemical agents. The department specializes in the areas of pharmacology, physiology, pathology, and analytical and organic chemistry. It additionally offers bacteriological, inorganic, organic and radiological testing services. The department also provides laboratory training solutions, including diagnosis of viruses, mycobacteria, mycoplasma, ureaplasma, pneumocystis and sexually transmitted diseases.
