Westchester ARC , founded in 1949, is the oldest and largest agency in Westchester County empowering children and adults with developmental disabilities. It was founded by a small group of parents looking for companionship for their children with developmental disabilities such as autism, Down syndrome and cerebral palsy.
The Mt. Kisco facility offers day, prevocational, vocational, career and transitional services to adults and young adults who work either in the community or outside the community. Career services focus on job development, job coaching and other employment scenarios. The transitional services are designed to prepare high school students for adult life.
