The Westbrook Elementary School is one of six elementary schools in the West Islip School District. The school's academic curriculum is designed to prepare students to continue to the middle school level.
At Westbrook Elementary School, children are taught community service at an early age. As part of Westbrook's Character Counts, for example, children participate in the "Have You Filled Your Bucket Today?" program, in which students are taught about kindness and caring. The principal of the school is Jack Maniscalco.
